Well it's Mardi Gras and Spring Break preparations are in full swing.
Snowbirds are arriving in Rocky Point by the dozens, looking none the worse for wear. If anything, they look glad to be here and thrilled with our weather, which has been even better than any year in recent memory.
I'm headed to Phoenix and Tucson next week to promote Spring Break for some of my favorite Rocky Point establishments, and I'm bringing a fistful of discounts and promotional materials.
Send an email if you can recommend a spot with lots of youthful traffic where I might leave some info. I'll make time for it.
Looks like this year Bent Entertainment is going all out, with the backing of an excellent roster of sponsors (local as well as some American brands) to provide top-notch deejays and Spring Break activities. Just don't ask me what that means specifically, as I'm waay past the age limit for understanding such things.
All I know is that it's always great to see the kids here and I'm looking forward to it. Especially since this year the Visitor Assistance office will be on hand 24/7. Do me a favor...help me get the word out that the TVA is going to be on duty day and night with an army of bilingual volunteers helping to get kids from Point A to Point B safely and securely. Auntie Rosie and her friends are on the job.
